Is a firm mattress better?
First and foremost a mattress needs to support the body. After that, the comfort of the mattress comes down to a personal preference. Some people like more give on their beds than others.
The core of the mattress is what provides support. It’s like the “engine” of the bed. A good mattress will support the areas of the body that need it most.
On top of this core there are comfort layers, and this is where the feel of the mattress comes from. These layers are made of different types of foam, from the functional to the luxurious.
