We are often asked who accepts beds as donations, and the easy answer is “We do!”
When you buy a new bed you are faced with the problem of how to remove your old bed. If the bed is still in great condition you may move it to a guest room or another bedroom in the house.
If you have nowhere for it to go, you can ask us to remove it for you.
What happens to your old bed?
When our delivery team brings your new bed, they will gladly remove the old one from your bedroom. It will be brought back to our warehouse and from there we donate old beds to various charities.

We can take your old bed away but if you prefer you can give them away directly. Here are a 3 examples of organisations that will collect big items and would put your old mattress to good use:

Give them a call and arrange a good time for collection.
When should you get a new bed?
A bed should last you between 7 and 10 years. If you stop to think about it, you spend on average 8 hours a night on your bed. If you calculate that in hours that means you will spend between 20 000 and 29 000 hours on your bed in this time. You can appreciate why it may be time for a new bed.
There are a few signs that its time to buy a new one, apart from how long you have had it. It may start to get uncomfortable and you could be aware of you or your partner tossing and turning at night. There may also be visible signs of wear.
