Queen size bed in cm
A queen size is 152cm wide. It is ideal for two people as it provides enough room for each to sleep comfortably.

The average size main bedroom should be big enough for a Queen, with enough room for a pedestal on each side.
Other sizes of beds
It is helpful knowing what is a queen size in cm, but what about the other sizes? Here is the quick list:
- Super King – 200cm x 200cm
- King – 183cm
- Queen – 152cm
- Double – 137cm
- 3/4 – 107cm
- Single – 91cm
A double, 3/4, and single size bed ideally should be used by one person. A double bed is a bit of a misnomer as it is quite narrow to accommodate two people. It works in a guest bedroom when it is used for two only occasionaly, but for every day use we would recommend a queen for two.
Lengths of beds
A quick word on lengths. Beds come in standard length (188cm) and extra length XL (200cm). If you are tall that extra 12 cm makes a big difference. Linen is easily available for XL nowadays. Some sizes, such as 3/4 XL, are made to order so there is often a 7 to 10 day delivery lead rime for this size.
